Early on the Hana Highway you'll find these Eucalyptus Trees. This species known for their colorfull bark are called Painted Eucalyptus Trees.

Shortly after the Painted Forest, was this unmarked pull over with this clearing. The guide book that had directed us here also pointed out a 1/2 mile walk into the forest. Nancy and I were to timid to take it but Mark did, saddly he did not take his camera.

This is wild bamboo.

These bamboo forests are called Waving Bambo. It is a neat sight to see sway back and forth as the wind blows.

This is Honomanu Bay and it's black sand beach.

Welcome to Hana.

Not far down the road from Hana is Wailua Falls. The falls are right next to road and a great place to stop and take a picture. But why am I not smiling.

Here's Mark at Wailua Falls.

This waterfall is about 80 ft tall, here's the top of the falls.

And the road is too narrow to get the whole waterfall in one photo, here's the bottom.

This is Makahiku Falls.

Makahiku Falls is one of the many falls seen while hiking to Waimoku Falls.

The Fall is 184 feet tall and in the Haleakala National Park. It's one of the many falls along the Pipiwai Trail.
