The hike to Waimoku Falls begins at the Kipahulu Visitor Center where you park and hike up the Pipiwai Trail. This is the stream the trail follows.

This is one of the first falls the trail takes you past, it's the Makahiku Falls and is about 185 feet high.

Along the trail we passed through this gate, I have no idea why the gate is there.

It's a 2 mile hike up to the Waimoku Falls... onlly 1.5 miles to go.

Shortly past the gate was this Banyan tree.

The trail runs through this bamboo forest. Here's Nancy in the forest.

Some parts of the trail were a bit rocky.

Some parts were boardwalks.

And some parts are very rocky.

The trail went this way and that way.

Here is Nancy and I in the Bamboo forest. It was very very hot and humid within the thick bamboo trees.

Shortly before reaching the Waimoku Falls I spotted this other falls off to the left.

As you can see this fall was pretty big. There was no trail or path over to it and I have never learned it's name or height.

From that same spot we also got our first view of Waimoku Falls.

The Waimoku Falls is about 400 feet tall.

This was Nancy's first trip to see the Waimoku Falls up close, back in 2006 she didn't make it past the runoff stream and only saw it from a ways away.

Shortly before reaching the Waimoku Falls I spotted this other falls off to the left.
