We left Mt Rushmore on Hwy 244 to the south and caught this sight.From Mt Rushmore we drove to Crazy Horse.The privately funded monument was started in 1948 and is still far from completion.The final dimensions are planned to be 641 feet wide and 563 feet hight.Here's a close up of some of equipment working on the structure to give you a size comparison.The head of Crazy Horse will be 87 feet high by comparison the heads on Mount Rushmore are 60 feet.This isn't my photo but it's what the Crazy Horse Memorial will look like someday.
